Private psychology

Online and in person

What I offer

Individual therapy

£140 per 50-minute session

I offer individualised therapy, drawing from a variety of approaches and therapy models to create a treatment plan that is unique to each client and addresses what matters to them.

I am trained in and use a number of different evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), CBT for menopausal symptoms, Compassion-focused therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic therapy, Schema therapy and Eye movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Relationship therapy

£200 per 50-minute session

I know how important it is to feel safe, heard and supported in your relationship.

I offer relationship therapy to help you and another resolve conflicts, improve communication and understand each other better. The other person could be a romantic or sexual partner, a family member, or a business partner.

I want to provide you with a safe place to share openly, improve your connection and build trust in each other and your relationship.

Single session therapy

£325 (including assessment report)

This is an 80-minute one-off solution focused conversation to address a specific issue. It offers immediate support without the commitment of ongoing psychology sessions.

Single session therapy focuses on your strengths and helps you to develop practical resources, coping strategies or new perspectives. It can also help you to decide whether you would like to have further psychology sessions.

What should you expect?

  • We will have an initial 15-minute telephone or video call to discuss what you are looking for and to give you an opportunity to see whether you would feel comfortable working with me.

  • The first few sessions will focus on exploring what is making life difficult for you and building up a picture of why your difficulties might have started and what keeps them going

  • If you decided to work with me, I will ask you to fill in a registration form which asks for information such as GP and next of kin contact details. This is so that we know who to contact in the unlikely event of an emergency.

  • Our sessions are confidential. The only time I would ever break confidentiality would be if I thought you or someone else was in immediate danger. I would always try to discuss my concerns with you before contacting someone else.

  • Our first few sessions will focus on exploring what is making life difficult for you and building up a picture of why your difficulties might have started and what keeps them going

  • We will talk about what you would like to get out of your psychology sessions and then we will agree on a treatment plan. I use a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I keep up to date with research and draw on significant clinical experience

  • We will then work through the treatment plan, refining it as we go

  • People use therapy in different ways. Some people are looking for a safe space in which to express thoughts and feelings that they may not be able to express anywhere else. Some people wish to understand why they are experiencing the difficulties they are facing. Some people wish to develop coping skills and strategies for managing day-to-day difficulties. You may be looking for all of these

  • Psychology works best when it is a collaboration between us. You bring your knowledge of yourself and your life, and I bring my training and experience in psychology

  • We will review our work regularly to ensure that it is meeting your needs

  • At the end of therapy I will provide you with a report outlining the work that we have done in sessions. This can be a useful reference in the future.
